Renee L.
Thomas is a Principal with L&A
and has been conducting ecological consulting studies since
1987. She has conducted preliminary land use assessments,
wetland delineations, and listed species evaluations for
over 200 sites throughout Florida. She has prepared permit
applications for all levels of the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers' Permit Program, the Florida Department of
Environmental Protection and various Water Management
Districts' Environmental Resource and Construction MSSW
permits.
Ms. Thomas was
the Program Director for a 4-year contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
for projects requiring Environmental Assessments or Environmental Impact Statements. As
part of this contract, L&A
researched, investigated,
and performed wetland assessments, threatened/endangered species surveys,
offshore seagrass and reef mapping, and provided management plans for projects
throughout the southeast United States and Puerto Rico. The scope of studies
included a Puerto Rican Boa Survey, Ft. Buchanan, San Juan, Puerto; Vegetation
Monitoring, St. Johns Marsh Conservation Area, Brevard County, FL; Florida
Mitigation Banking Study; Wildlife Survey and Habitat Utilization Study of
Western Littoral Zone, Lake Okeechobee, Florida; Environmental Impact Statement
on Improving the Regulatory Process in Southwest Florida; and NEPA Documents for
numerous Dredged Material Management Sites within Florida. |
